Why do we breed worms?

Why do we breed worms?

  1. The main purpose is production of humus – the finest and the high quality organic fertilizer for all kind of plants.
  2. Another reason for their breeding is that they are used as a high protein food for birds, fishes and pigs, as well as processed as protein flour.
  3. It is not a minor fact, that the breeding of red Californian worms help in solving some problems with the environmental pollution. The ability of worms to consume all types of organic waste from farms, some industrial and sewage is used for its processing. Using the waste as food for worms, it is no longer polluting the environment but become best quality organic fertilizer ( the so called BIO HUMUS). Its` use allows to obtain high quality, environmentally friendly plant and animal products – human`s everyday food. The humus is several times better than all artificial fertilizers.
